NOTHING, BUT [HOLES]
Curated by Naomi Elson, Rebecca Griffith, and Lauren Iacoponi
Lauren Iacoponi — artist, Purple Window Gallery co-curator, and founder of Unpacked Mobile Gallery — will stage Nothing, But [Holes], a special edition of Unpacked that docks with SITE/less, curated alongside the Unpacked team and fellow visual artists Naomi Elson and Rebecca Griffith.
Unpacked Mobile Gallery is an artist-run project space operating out of a 16-foot moving truck. Our mission includes museum and gallery accessibility; the importance of art as experience; and the relationship between institutions, society, and artists. Unpacked exhibitions expand free community art outreach and engagement programs with organizations such as Lubeznik Center for the Arts (Michigan City, IN), Comfort Station, (Logan Square, Chicago) and Spudnik Press, (West Town, Chicago), among others.
Unpacked has exhibited 48 artists across 10 exhibitions as of October 2026.
Unpacked acts as a platform for social change, exploring topics of contemporary feminism, trans identity, LGBTQIA+ issues (Come As You Are), societal discontentment and the vanishing middle class (Discontentment), cultural diaspora and the importance of preserving history and culture (Maktub), sustainability and environmental stewardship (Home Grown, July 2026). In addition to exhibitions centered around universal concepts, such as symbolism (un·pack) and color (Color in Transit).
Featuring work by Jeremy David Carter, Issac Couch, Eseosa Edebiri, Naomi Elson (installation outside of the truck), Rebecca Griffith, Javier Jasso, Allen Moore, David Nasca, Janelle O’Malley, Ahmed Ozsever (installation outside of the truck), Yvette Kaiser Smith, and Ruby Tresch.
